Orbis Procurement has a team of over 100 staff that work together to deliver an end-to-end procurement service. We are proud to be a diverse and welcoming team.
The work we do is award-winning. We're ambitious and we want to be a Centre of Excellence in Procurement in Local Government. To do this, we need people who want to make a difference and can bring a range of skills and experience.
We value our colleagues, put their wellbeing at the heart of our culture and are committed to looking after mental and physical wellness by making appropriate adjustments. We want our colleagues to feel confident to ask about the flexibility they may need to allow them to bring their whole self to work and we promise to explore what is possible within the parameters of their role.
Our 'People' Strategy is currently in development and looks to define all elements of the way we work including recruitment, retention, and learning and development. We've recently overhauled our approach to recruitment; from how we promote job opportunities to how people apply (making it easier for applicants).
Training and Development
In a team this size, we offer a range of opportunities for career growth and professional development. We support Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) training (via an apprenticeship route or self-study) as well as a supporting individual training needs.
