Darron is a Fellow of CIPS, a Chartered Management Accountant and a Chartered Public Finance Accountant with over 25 years’ experience of delivering complex and strategic procurements and change programmes in central and local government, as well as running global procurement transformation programmes for top tier management consultancies.

With over 10 years’ experience in public sector procurement, Keith has held various senior roles including Head of Category, Head of Commercial & Contract Advisory and currently, Deputy Director. He is on the management committee of the Central Buying Consortium and is a member of the LGA National Advisory Group.

I work in the Sourcing Solutions Team (one of our Procurement Managed Services) that focuses on our below threshold procurements, and became a senior within this team in March 2023. I have completed several procurements for various categories ranging from IT& Digital, Housing / Regeneration, Environment, Transport, Adult Social Care & Public Health and more. Since joining this team I have thrived in the professional development of myself and others, with particular successes training new hires and refining procedures and processes.

I joined Orbis Procurement 4 years ago as a Contract and Commercial Specialist, before taking up the role of Strategic Contract Management Advisor within the Contract Management Advisory Service.  My role entails working in collaboration with stakeholders, contract leads and procurement colleagues to:

• Provide strategic contract management guidance and support
• Embed a standardised approach to contract management
• Build and embed contract management capability across directorates
• Upskill individuals with contract management responsibilities to ensure that they have the necessary skills, knowledge and confidence
• Provide value for money assurance

Within the last 12 months, I have developed a contract management strategy for the Environment, Infrastructure and Growth Directorate, developed and delivered contract management training for 27 officers within Surrey Fire and Rescue Service, and supported the delivery of savings and other non-cashable benefits through a range of contract-specific projects.
